wmpnscfg.exe and wmpnetwk.exe
If you open the taskmanager you can see this two services. Do you know what are these services and for which program they are running ?
1. Media Player 11 can share media between different computers on the same network.
2.In order to do that these two are the Network sharing programs needed.
3. So if you are not sharing the network by media, you can easily disable it.
To disable this services,
1. Open “Windows Media Player“.
2. Select the dropdown arrow under “Library“.
3. From the menu, Select the “Media sharing” option.
4. Uncheck the both boxes found there.
5. Click “ok“.
6. If a dialog box opened and says “do you want to disable sharing” , click “Yes” to continue.
7. Reboot to take changes.
Please Note :
If you still having the above two services on the task manager, you can disable it by the following.
1. Go to “Control Panel“.
2. Open “Services“.
3. Find the above two service on the list and double click on them
4. Change both the services to “Disabled“.
